This summer Dan will be collaborating with composers Orianna Webb, Peter Gilbert, and Ryan Streber on new solo pieces for classical and electric guitar. The works will be the product of an experiment in co-composition with Dan, with each of them reflecting varying degrees of shared duties in the composing process. They will be premiered on an early fall New York recital funded by a grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Check the calendar for details. Meanwhile, the editing process is winding up on recordings with ICE and Flexible Music, both of which will be available in the fall.
Also on tap are a few festival and outdoor performances. Mice Parade performs at the base of Japan's Mt. Fuji on the Fuji Rock Festival in late July. Just before that, Dan will be upstate, performing three concerts of viola, flute, and guitar repertoire with the Finger Lakes Chamber Music Festival. Locally, Dan is playing on a fun series of outdoor concerts in Jersey City called Con Vivo, in a double feature of South American music with guitarist Adam Tully and a program of guitar and string quartet music on June 29 in Hamilton Park.
